Why don't you mention your kindergaden and say that you thought you remembered her name from that time. See if she is willing to volunteer the information that yes that was her.
As a female who is friendly to everyone,I was always shocked when male friends asked me out. I never knew where they got the impression that I wanted to go out with them, so if she is like that too, you may be better asking her to join you on a social occasion as opposed to a full on date. Just in case she rejects you and then feels too awkward to talk to you again.
Good luck and don't forget that gorgeous girls don't want gorgeous men - too much competition for the mirror and / or bathroom ;o)
