Just to make things clear. If you find people after puberty sexually attractive then it is perfectly normal. That usually happens at 14 or less. The fact that it is illegal before 18 is because you may corrupt an underage person and he/she may become addicted, or easily fooled and lose the track. Puberty is meant to engender the sexual attributes and it is natural. So, yes, it is normal. People are so worried about desiring someone underage. As long as they are not below 11 or they hit puberty, everything is fine just to desire them. To be safe with the law then you must wait until 18. End of the story.
I know guys in their 30s and 40s who "crush" on the cute, hot 18-20 year olds who work at the sports bar I go to. It's mostly harmless, and some of the girls actually enjoy it, love the attention.
