I have a boring friend

Yet I still occasionally spend time with said friend. We go all the way back to our childhood and hometown, and our lives have always crossed paths. Just my luck that now we live in the same building. I have no ill will but I feel like it's a waste of my time when I oblige but I have no reason to cut them off.

You sound kind of arrogant. Are you an interesting person yourself?

Many people seem to feel attached to friends they've had since childhood/teens even if they probably wouldn't choose to be friends if they met nowadays. Never got it, i've never had an issue cutting someone off if I didnt like them much or whatever. Then again I had no friends in my childhood so what do I know about that sort of bond.

Life is short you do have a reason you're bored. It sucks that you're in the same building I admit good luck

Boring friends sometimes turn out to be the best kind. Behind the boringness they sometimes have hidden talents and impressive knowledge about things.

I get 'friend crushes' a lot, so if a friend is boring, it inoculates me against them with that person. As a result, the friendship tends to be heathy.

If your friend is that boring, cease being friends with them.
