You were attracted to him precisely because he was popular (and presumably hard to get). This is perfectly normal for women. Once you had sex, you got to know him much better, and discovered (consciously or subconsciously) that he's really not as appealing as you thought he might be. He was a disappointment.
Having discovered what you wanted to learn, there is no longer any motivation to continue further with him. You uncovered his secret: that his popularity is illusory, that he doesn't have intrinsic positive qualities to justify it.
You might now even feel guilty about having slept with him. Don't. It is better to have learned this about him sooner, rather than later. Otherwise, you would have wasted a lot of emotional energy chasing after an illusion.
