I hate when my dad's habits, and his habit itself?

I mean he is my dad I don't hate him he can be a loving parent, but he usually works until night, which would be ok since he is free on Saturdays and Sundays, however I don't like his habit of going to the bar so often, is really common to him to say that he is going to the bar and is coming back soon, but then he returns on dawn or midnight really drunk, I hate when this happen, it would be ok if it was not often, but I wish he could just do it less times or come back early and not so drunk at least.

Maybe your dad is an alcoholic? Where's your mom? Are your folks divorced?

    • My mom lives with us too they are not divorced, but fell like they don't love each other, they don't fight all time, I just feel like they just stay because of little brother. Especially because my mom always told me when I was little that if I was ever going to marry someone I should be really carefully about my choice.

it's normalized, but i don't think it's normal... people should cope without alcohol

He needs the come to Jesus moment. Tell him you're disappointed in him. Might open his eyes to his bad behavior

    • I told him many times, and keep telling him, he just say like an ok, alright or sure, like those answers that you give just to cut out a conversation

You are correct in not liking this pattern.

    Unfortunately, its fairly common.

It is unlikely that your dad will change much.

However, if you would like to better understand why and learn something about the real world and your options...

I suggest that you read the book: "Cashflow Quadrant" by Robert Kiyosaki

You can have other options in the future if you desire them.

    I wish you the best,

        You are welcome!

Another book recommendation: "The Compound Effect" by Darren Hardy.

It provides the basics on how to be successful at almost anything..

I wish you well with this.

PM me after you have read either of the books. I enjoy assisting others to become successful and become the person they each were meant to be (which is a different person than I).
