When I'm eating with a metal utensil and it touches my teeth, it sends shivers down my spine--the same kind of shivers I get when someone scratches a chalkboard.
Is this normal?
I feel like I was put on earth to tell you how normal this is!
well, it is to me at least. I've always had to avoid this sort of thing and try to explain to people how it feels!

metel dmgs your teeth plus metel is a good conducter and living things have a bio-electric aura around it the nerves in the teeth are highly sensitive to any changes that's why acidic things will make your teeth hurt even tho the acid Is not touching the nerve its normal

My first out break dealing with a person scrapping their teeth with the fork while eating I was 6 years old I told a stranger in a Cafe to stop doing it!!!
i have the exact same same thing then people wonder why i get food all over my lips because my teeth cant touch the metal. i bring the food off with my lips. i got chills just reading this and when i imagine it i also get chills
Ikr! Hate it! It makes me not wonna finish my plate. Like I'm okay with plastic touching my teeth but not medal!! Ugh hate it! I also can't stand when nails scratch up against things. It just makes me shiver inside!

This is why plastic utensils are awesome to me.
I am the same way! I only use metal silverwear when I'm at resteraunts and have no other coice. At home I use plastic... I hate when other ppl do it also
