The day itself, the constant annoyance from couples on the street and getting dirty looks from them because you're single and unlovable, and all the hype that surrounds this do damned day. its coming in a few weeks, may god have mercy on my soul. not to mention the number of suicide calls increase by 50% on this one day alone
Don’t stare and you won’t get dirty looks. If you’re afraid of people in a relationship don’t go out looking for them. To me it’s just another day not a big deal just like any other day. It’s not a big deal unless you make it.
I remember when I first started dating my boyfriend, I told him Valentine's Day is a giant cash cow and a waste of time. He wanted to cry and said it was an important holiday to him. So I celebrate it with him every year. We get each other gifts and I buy him dinner. I still think it's a dumb holiday, but seeing him happy is nice.

I don't much care about Valentine's day, but I celebrate something much more significant on February 13th every year, it's my cat's birthday!
V-day is right before MY favorite holiday -
1/2 off V-day candy day! You gotta admit that V-day chocolates are the best! My room mate and I raid the V-day candy aisle.
We are platonic but oftentimes when her ass is broke I will buy her some V-day candy too as a friendly gesture.
The bad news is I do not have anyone special to share my "share" of V-day candy with. The good news is that means more for me :D
Oh and all that lovey dovey shit? No thanks.
Clearance holiday candy is where it's at! I buy it, put it in the freezer and it lasts for months! Whenever I'm down, I'll always have a small pick-me-up.

Hey who am I to judge a marketing day for sweets and flowers in February, a holiday deadzone.
I try not to get too salty about being single as long as you can keep yourself above water as in for job and appearance you can do fine.
I know that is exactly what we do on valentines day is to point at and make fun of single people. Lol. Whatever. Have a great time at you pity party.
By the way valentines day is stupid for a whole myriad of reasons.
Honestly, I inwardly celebrate my singleness. I think of Valentines as the day that chocolate is in the air.
I'm indifferent about Valentine's. Never been one to celebrate. People excluded me all my life growing up so it kinda became my comfy zone to avoid there stuff
I accidentally clicked the wrong button but yes its normal. This will be my first damned valentines day that my friend ghosted me and is now dating a girl. I miss him so much and i feel so sick right now. Knowing that he'll be loving that girl and not even remembering me on that day will make it super difficult to get through.
