I think pasta is disgusting.

I don't think that a person needs help for not liking a certain food, even though not liking pasta is unusual. Come to think of it, maybe you're right, the op hating spaghetti does mean he needs help, remember in Adam Sandler's film Big daddy where the Steve Bucemmi character says "considering this is America, if you don't like spaghetti and meatballs, you can just get out"?
I never thought I would see someone quote an Adam Sandler film. I might have to see that movie because Steve Buscemi is an actor I like.
No surprise he would say that about spaghetti since his family origins hail from Italy, namely Sicily, on his father's side. I didn't know this. I Googled it.
I think most people have certain foods they don't like. For me, it's anything with coconut or anything Dulce de Leche flavored . I'm Hispanic so people think I'm crazy for not liking them. XD
its the smell and flavor that gets me past the texture. , you are kind of right about texture and the pasta does nothing for smell and flavor. pasta are empty carbohydrate devoid of any nutrition. it causes disease like metabolic syndrome and should be avoided as a species. haters will hate . makers will add vitamins to the wheat so they dont have to put zeros on the nutrition labels.
Too many horror movies as a child. That's why I can't stomach pasta at all. The appearance of pasta looks too much like a ghastly mess of slimy wormy intestinal stuff I really don't want to imagine, lol.
