I love non-fiction books, I have basically a library of outdated reference books and other materials. You miss a lot by only looking up current information. I like to time travel by reading my old books and magazines...yeah, you can Google something like 'segregation in the US' but you're not going to get the full feel of it without reading the newspapers and reference materials of that time, for example.
That was how I accumulated books. Weird me, in college, I ended up with more books than ever, and I kept them! But, after moving around a bit, I'm sick of stuff. I'm going nomadic, so, the less physical stuff I have, the better.
I'm also lazy. I want to just search online. Done. Google Books = searchable. Fine, fine.
I can't say it's not super convenient and I do read online a ton too, but I love my books. There's so much I never would've even thought to look up in the first place if I hadn't seen it in one of my books. I also buy a lot of them for the illustrations and ads. I've finally moved for the last time about 6 months ago so I'm not worried about ever moving them again but yeah, it is a pain.
I hate physical media (books, dvds, cds). IIN?
