I hate myself no matter what

I hate myself. No matter what I do, I'll always hate myself and want to cause harm in any way possible. I swear if you leave me in a room with any sharp object I WILL attempt to stab myself at some point. This probably isn't normal, but does anyone have any suggestions?

Is It Normal?

  • This might sound crazy... But perhaps you should see a psychologist?

  • You only want attention, you wont admit it though. A lot of teenagers pretend to have something mentally wrong with them so that people will feel sorry for them and give them attention. You will grow out of it. As terrible as this sounds, it's true.
And maybe you are trying hard to fit in, nowadays it's "cool"' to cut/harm yourself.

  • Its sound like you may have depression, I think you should go to see a counsellor it could help to talk about your problems with someone who wony judge you and it could help your self-esteem issues aswell. You should also talk to a doctor aswell maybe he could prescribed you anti-depressiants are something. Hope Ive helped :)

  • I've already tried that but when I fail the hobby I get mad and hurt myself. And everybody hates me(trust me, like 99% of the people I know don't wanna be around me)

  • I think you just need to be more careful when making decisions, and start a hobby that you can get really good at. That will bring you confidence. Do you have self hatred because of events from your past? Also, try to be around other people as much as possible.

    • Hmm, okay. It seems as if you're a masochist with anxiety and depression problems... I'm no psychologist, this is just my interpretation. These are problems you should seek help for, but you said that seeing a psychologist didn't help. Is it because your psychologist couldn't find the root of your problem?

I'd like to offer some advice, but your post was kind of vague though. I can't really offer advice if I don't know the root of the problem.
