I hate my voice

My voice sound so soft and quiet, others describe it as “cute” and I don’t like that. It’s not high-pitched or anything but it just sound light and airy. I don’t know how else to describe it but I hate it. I asked someone to imitate my voice and they made their voice so much softer and quieter. There are times when I try to make my voice a little deeper but it made it sound like I’m angry. Id love to have a voice that is a little raspy and bad-ass sounding. I just hate that people see me as “innocent” just because of how my voice sounds like.

    Try to learn to love who you are.
    That person with the voice you admire.
    Might have problems you'd never want.

    What you describe looks ok to me... Girls with a soft, higher voice are amazing.
    I have yet to hear a woman with a terrible voice.
    Unless you sound like a strangled chipmunk, you're good.

    I have a fairly deep voice. I can pull off the slick American DJ, Elvis-ey voice perfectly. Ever heard of Honest trailers, my voice is kinda like that.
    Tho I wish I could talk like Morgan Freeman. Now that's a man's man's voice! Hot as fire, slick as grease!

    I have a similar problem, my voice is higher than I'd like and makes me sound younger and less confident. I have to actively push it down to sound like an adult (I'm 21) and I'm scared people notice...

    How old are you? If you're younger than 14 it's normal. If you are older still normal. I remember calling someone that I was told was a guy. This woman answered the phone. It turned out it was him. Embarrassing. ;) Your voice is yours. You might consider voice training but why bother trying to be someone you are not?

    I have a fairly deep ratio DJ type of voice, and I love it! When I was little kid I didn't much like my voice, because it was deeper than all the other kids. I just wish I had not given up on my old occupation... given up on my pathetically mediocre dream. Bah.

        I just wanted to be happy working in radio broadcasting. It did come true to an extent for a few years though. It's probably not as awful as I make it sound, because some people actually finish school, and earn their degrees, but never get to work in their fields of study.

        It was just a big part of my heart, yanno?
