My first true love was raised catholic. I MEAN catholic; Sunday school, catholic school grades 1-12, church every possible opportunity/excuse; they would go.
I really loved that girl, but the only time she didn't feel guilty about "living in sin", having sex outside of marriage and all the other horrible brainwashing that fucking church does to it's 'believers' was during sex. A few precious minutes where she could be free. Needless to say, we had a lot of sex but the rest of the time her desire to be punished for her 'sinful' ways, was a horrible way to live and our relationship did not survive.
Sad to say, her desire for punishment led to an arrest for a kilo of heroin and a long stretch in prison. She was well into her 30's before she found a way to exist without constantly needing to be punished.
I'm sorry that it couldn't work out between you two. It makes me glad that I was ever fully raised in Catholcism. Then again, the other branches I was raised in caused me some harm too.

It's sad to see people get destroyed by religion. Some denominations lock people into ignorance by demonizing evolution and cosmology.
I'm sorry that it couldn't work out between you two. It makes me glad that I was ever fully raised in Catholcism. Then again, the other branches I was raised in caused me some harm too.
