I hate my dad because of this

So lately my family and I have taken in a stray cat, which is 5-6 months old. My dad seriously hates the cat when is inside the house or on any of the furniture other than it’s bed. I find it annoying that he makes me kick the cat out each time it pisses him off and I don’t think it’s on knowing that the cat is very young, I’m very over protective over my cat and don’t want him going anywhere too far, but my dad just seems to think that it’s okay to leave him outside in the garden, when I want the cat inside the house so he can bond with me. What shall I do?

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

It’s his house.. I understand how you feel because I’ve went through a similar situation but at the end of the day it’s his house.

Just realized someone let my kitten go outside a few hours ago and I haven’t seen her. I hope she comes back.

    Edit: found her

Good, now grab the kitty, and leave your abusive boyfriend.

I can't stand people who don't like animals, especially people who don't like cats!

Idk man, the nice thing about having a pet is the responsibility, the fact that you have to take care of them and being rewarded for all your hard work with their affection. As long as you love them, it shouldn't matter if someone prefer dogs or cats.
Also why do you have to be so judgmental?

I just don't have anything in common with people who don't like animals. Animal lovers in general tend to be more responsible and selfless.

Have a serious family talk with your dad. Especially since I'm assuming that the rest of your family wants the cat there, your dad shouldn't be acting this childish. I can understand that you're angry.

Servals look beautiful, and I can understand why some people would want to own one, but I'm so proud of my how sweet my Siamese is. He's not much of hunter, which is something I love. We found an injured bird in the garden once, and I only had to tell my cat, "no", one time! A serval could never be so gentle and obedient.

I just find that I enjoy the company of animal lovers more than non-animal lovers. In my personal life experience people who aren't into animals tend to be more superficial, and self centered.

I can't stand when people get more exotic animals as a kind of accessory almost. For instance I think Savannah cats are beautiful, but they are very high maintenance, because of their wild ancestry.
