I hate my brother with a passion

I know I shouldn't hate him, but hes 12 years old and treats me like crap. He has acted like this since he was 5.
For a 'small' example (yes it gets worse) today my Dad isn't feeling well and eveyrone at home knows that, but here comes my brother and basically jumps on my Dad and says "wanna go outside and play cricket?" and my dad is like "can't you see I'm sick or have you ignored me all day?" and he just kind of ignores it and grunts and I mumble "He doesn't care" (which is true) but in the middle of my sentance he looks up and here comes the phscho look in his eyes, wide eyes and starts making a stupid noise yelling "LALALALA!yeah what ever!!" so I yell "WOULD YOU GROW UP!?" Yes I yelled back, I don't really care, and I'M the one who gets yelled at by my 'almost insane' ( really) Mum.

He does the same thing all the time and I try not to 'hate' him but I do, I reeeally do.

Is It Normal?

    Haha I used to be that annoying brother :P My sister is 2 years older than me and even before I could walk I used to try and beat her up, I annoyed her right up until I was 15 then I just sort of stopped and we became friends :) Don't worry you will survive haha

    geez i feel your pain my little sister is 8 nd is the same way. Parents 2, i mean im the one who gets yelled at.

    Although i do really hate her sometimes, which i hate to admit. But think about this,

    If someone where to hurt your lil'bro whould you go after the person or at least be worried about you bro. if you did say yes to any or something inbetween, then u dont really hate him. its just something we all go through.

    I mean if anyone hrt my sis u can bet ill be after them with my gun and shovel, and thats not an empty threat. ;)

    Be thankful that it is your parents who has to cope with him. So why are you getting involved at that level? You do not have to at all. Back off. Enjoy your life. That will be the best "revenge!!!" of all - muah-ha-ha.

    He's a typical 12yo. I'm sure you weren't a treat when you were that old either.
    I have a sister who is 13yo now and she is god awful annoying. It's just that age.
    Hating him is a bit strong, but being extremely annoyed by what he does is normal.
