I hate it when people go into my room without permission

I sometimes work at home as a video and photo editor. I lock my door because I really need to concentrate when I work! It's not rare for someone to unlock my door to ask me a question that I failed to answer. Doesn't anyone understand there's a reason why I lock my door? BTW the lock on my door isn't advanced so you can use any key... I need to upgrade it soon. Even if I wasn't working, I don't like people walking into my room without telling me first! I like my privacy.

    That’s a conversation you have to have. I mean it should be common etiquette but not everyone is self aware and conscientious

    Doending on the person I would respond differently, but to s point it doesn't matter who they are thats bulldozing my boundaries

    I never liked that when I lived with others either, though nobody ever unlocked my door, thankfully! If it was locked, they would just knock or call me if I had headphones on.

      All sorts but mostly youtube videos such as vlogs and live streams. It takes a fair bit of focus to make the perfect video edit.

        Normally I don't even notice that a video's been edited until I see a video that has no editing at all for comparison. Good editing is a really hard balance to strike because the point of it is to be as unnoticeable as possible and keep the focus on the person/people. It's a subtle art, for sure
