Congratulations on fitting in with the spirit of the moment. Hatred of The Other and dehumanising people who have serious problems in their lives is so in fashion at the moment. Keep it up, give your basest instincts free reign, and Donnie The Conman might give you a gold-plated presidential medal someday.
You obviously don't know the woman's story, but the fact is that any of us - including you - could end up like her someday. You may think your life is running on greased rails to a glorious future and you're in control of your destiny, but that's a crock of shit that smells worse than she does. You could walk out of the library one day, get whacked on the head in an accident because you're not paying attention to what's happening around you due to fuming about her, end up with permanent brain damage, lose your job, alienate everyone you currently know, and your life could crash and burn.
Nobody likes to think about it, but shitty stuff happens to people all the time, and sometimes there's fuck all we can do about it. Not many homeless people grew up dreaming of the day when they could leave school and live on the street with the only bright spot in their day being getting drunk or high again. Nobody who's compos mentis lets their personal hygiene slide as far as the woman's has. Nobody wants to live in a wheelchair and spend their days sitting in a library because there's nowhere else they can go.
Boy have I not read such inhumane drivel in quite some time. I'm shocked, really. I don't understand even one bit how a person can be so desensitized from the homeless persons situation.
Who in their right mind just finds a real person a thing? They're a person, with feelings. They have real emotions and experiences and they have lived a most likely troublesome tough life, yet OP here just considers it okay to treat a human being like utter trash because of... their own inconvenience?
Oh excuse them OP, I bet they're so so sorry for not being able to clean themselves and I bet they feel super sorry towards you especially for what their life is today. I'm sure your discomfort is their top most priority.
To you, OP, I suggest you start acting like a human fucking being instead of like a monster. They're a person in a shit situation and you're a massive pussy for even whining about this. So what it smells? They're trying to find shelter from the cold weather and you're here complaining that you can't read in a library without a foul odor. What the fuck is wrong with you?
Sorry Boojum that I'm ranting in a comment to you, but you seem to be one of the few people on this post with a little understanding and humanity.
I hate homeless people so much

I would kill myself way before I got to that point.

That might be a rational decision, and one welcomed by your wider community.
