I hate him, but love him

Yes, this is very normal. It happens to me when I like a girl who's the really nice girl type... which is actually what I'm looking for.

If we hang out and I say I like her... then it's on her to take it from there. If she doesn't, then I end up liking her and not knowing what to say... then ending up with a different girl because she was more aggressive or something.

Usually, this is not the case. Usually, what you're describing happens when you're the backup booty.

It sounds like he just wants to keep you on his bandwagon. Like this guy is so insecure that he needs a woman constantly falling for him while he does what he pleases, just so that he can know he is loved. Very insecure. And unfortunately you fell for it.
