It definitely is a different experience when you have your own. I was never a fan of children...I was the youngest in my family and never babysat..so quite honestly, I never really understood what it took to raise a child. I think I lucked out with my daughter...she is seriously happy 99% of the time, has slept through the night since 4 months old..I really have no complaints. I have a great reason to look forward to coming home from work and the weekends when I get to teach/read/watch her play...there really isn't a greater joy...and I WAS one of those people who hated kids. I still don't know how to interact with other people's children but I love mine!
