I hate being human! iin?

I am soo ashamed of being a human. I sometimes cry of what humans are doing to the earth and what they do to animals. I mean the only reasom why i absolutly hate humans is of animals cruelty. We are going to kill the earth one day. Humans are the reason why some natural disasters happen. And we wonder why some pets just kill there owners for no reason? maybe they are trying to defeat us? does anyone else have this problem?

Humans are pretty much the only species that makes a conscious effort to help and protect other animals. We pamper domestic animals as pets and try to help wild animals by studying their habits and protecting their environment. A tomcat is more likely to kill a kitten than cuddle it and find it food if it's starving. Don't get me wrong, I love animals, but I don't think it's shameful to be a human. There are bad people out there that do bad things to animals, but they are usually the same people that would do something bad to a human if they got the chance.

      WONDERFUL post.

This is what the "doom and gloom" anti-humans forget.

They want to shun and punish people and ignore all the wonderful things we do in order to protect other species.

Humans are stupid. We destroy more than we protect. The evidence is there - species go extinct...regularly. Global warming is REAL. War is REAL. So what the majority are good people but we all still allow all the nasty shit to happen and that makes us aaaalll really guilty and should be punished by death.

          That's because I was replying to Cupcake33

If you want to talk about destroying the earth remember that over 90% of ALL species are already extinct. And it happened BEFORE humans existed.

but I'm sure someone will try to come up with a reasoning to blame us anyway.

How do you call an animal who by not stepping in another animal ecological niche indirectly preserves both the habitat and the animals living in it?it might not be doing a conscious effort to reach the goal of preserving another animal habitat but that is one of the results it achieves. Like a beatle living off elephant manure. There is way too much cruelty visited on other humans to think about a cat getting it's tail pulled by a retard. I am sure you got some of those cruelties against human beings on your conscience. So stop tryng to look like the good guy by saying you love animals more than people and whatever cause you are not fooling anybody. Poor cat poor cat meanwhile a guy is ding down the road as a direct result of your actions. You people make me fucking sick.

natural disasters? tornadoes, earthquakes, and hurricanes aren't caused by humans. they're caused by nature. hence the term "natural" disaster..

no, i highly understand that animals can be cruel to each other, but thats because they have a purpose in doing so.It's the role of life. But human's on the other hand be cruel for fun, for sport and such like that, which is not a purpose at all

It's understandable. I sometimes wish I was an elf and that I could go live on another planet or plane. It's horrible what people have done to mother earth. But don't give up hope, places like Europe are creating eco-energies and recycle. So, there is some hope not just darkness.

animals kill other animals because it is the circle of life. Humans cant kill people because it isnt the circle of like because humans are supose to be herbivores

Our ancestors killed animals because that was the circle of life as well.
We still do it now because we're used to eating meat, and we know it's good for us, plus it's tasty of course :D
As for the "humans cant kill people" part; Why don't crocodiles hunt other crocodiles? Why don't lions hunt other lions? (they fight but not hunt eachother).
Because they know they will put up a good fight and they would rather not risk their life by killing a weaker prey.
Of course now we are civilized and would never even think about eating or hunting eachother, but I was talking about thousands of years back.
Humans killed animals for food, not for fun.
Humans are (top) predators, our neanderthal cousins almost only ate meat.
We have eyes in the front of our head, so we can see more easily how far our prey is, we are predators and we eat other animals, nothing more to it.
        You're probably a vegetarian xD

Actually we are supose to be herbivores because we have teeth like a herbivore. We dont have the canine fangs like a dog does, and we arent omnivores because omnivores have those big fangs as well. I was ment to say humans cant kill animals because it isnt the circle of life

          • InvadingPotatoLeader

Because we have higher intellect than other animals we were able to stay ontop of the food chain.
Our ancestors needed to eat, and the other weaker animals were there, so our ancestors ate them, and they passed it on.
Nowadays we outnumber our prey easily, therefor we mass produce them, because they are tasty and good for our health :D
Sorry but I don't think humans will ever give up eating meat, it's in our nature, we're predators.
And we obviously weren't meant to be herbivores, we have eaten meat since the beginning.. so what if we don't have fangs? We can still eat meat can we?
I think the reason for not having fangs is because we were smart enough to remove the thick hides from animals, so we don't have to bite through that like other predators do.
How do you explain the fact that we have predator eyes than? So we could hunt grass? ;)

No we arent preditores at all. We are mosnters. If you say we are predatores, then why arent you living in the bush hunting rabbits with sharp teeth? Because we arent preditores. We arent supose to meat

      • Actually, yes, humans were made to kill animals. Doyou see your canine teeth? Your sharpish teeth? They're there in order for humans to rip apart meat to consume it. So yes, humans are meant to kill animals for food.

Well those disasters are man made then?
Natural disasters are thoroughly out of our control: earthquakes, tsunamis etc.

For example: sea-level rises, partially caused by humans, could make the effects of a tsunami worse, however they do not cause the disaster.

If something is a 'natural disaster' it is not caused by man.

From the point of view of many humans, the term "natural disaster" is a convenient scapegoat because it allow a person (or a whole nation) to blame nature for their own poor planning. Wherever we find so-called "natural disasters" around the world , we also usually find a large group of people who have cut down the forests that buffer rainfall, paved over the grasslands that allow rain to soak into the soil, and built their homes right in the middle of gullies and natural drainage channels. When the floods come, they look to the sky and curse Mother Nature, shouting, "We got hit by a natural disaster!"

Of course, in some cases it really is a natural disaster. When a volcano blows and causes widespread destruction beyond what anyone could have reasonably foreseen -- such as Mt St Helens in the 1980's -- that's a legitimate natural disaster. When an under-the-ocean earthquake causes a fifty-foot tsunami that wipes out a beach town, that's a legitimate natural disaster, too. When a large meteorite slams into the planet with the force of millions of atomic bombs, laying waste to an entire era of unique lifeforms (the dinosaurs, for example), that's a natural disaster.

But getting wiped out by a flood because you built your house right in the flood path of a local river is not a natural disaster. That's a man-made disaster. Or, more accurately, it's just poor planning on the part of short-sighted humans. And when it comes to disasters, there's plenty of short-sightedness to go around these days.

So most natural disasters arent natural

Therefore humans don't cause 'natural disasters', they cause man made ones: which was my original point.

        get better facts

humans are making an effort to decrease pollution. example - in the st. Lawrence river the water purity is over 95% pure. and that was back in 07. The way they take care of the water there, it's probably even cleaner now.

not to mention the knee-jerk reaction against chemicals is a bit ... well knee-jerkish.

Chemical: : a substance obtained by a chemical process or producing a chemical effect

Chemical does not mean "bad" or "harmful"... that's just the pseudo-science that some people are trying to push on us these days.

depends what chemicals you are talking about. Alot of chemicals can be dangerous. And when you say humans are making an effort, not all humans are, not even half of all the humans are making an effort to decrease pollution, because if they were, no one will be driving trucks and cars..

how else do you think your food gets to you? transporters?

Tell you what, if you want to do without all pollution and stuff like that... join an Amish community. You won't have to have a car or truck. and you can recycle your horse's waste even as fertilizer.

I guess for you this something to be proud of. Could it be you are more likely to help that animal than a member of your own species because the animal is not protected by law as much a human and is kind of more defenseless?so you can do whatever the hell you want to it,it is always gonna be more easily overpowerable than a human?i strongly doubt you are going to try helping a mad hungry tiger right?so..well most small animals we use as housepets are just easier opponents when it comes to taming them. Plus a street cat in distress does not need as much constant attention or food for that matter.the only reason people do not help people is fear of them becoming worthy opponents after you help them.if you neglect a cat it is one thing if you neglect a sick person or an old lady you can actually get arrested in most civilized countries.so..well..bye
