It's not like the USA is the little island of paradise, and everywhere around us terrorists are lurking in the dark! Yes, the Middle East is in dire distress at this time, but haven't you given any thought to other countries besides those ones? It's not us against them, you know. There are a multitude of other countries from which we can learn many ways of life we never even conceived in our little bubble. Sweden, Denmark, all the countries within the UK, France, Germany, Canada, Japan, Finland, Italy, Norway, Australia, New Zealand, and Ireland are all different countries that have done remarkably well, to name a few, and are far from enacting Sharia Law. We are not the Lone Rangers of the world, marked with the burden of fixing all the problems. It's important to acknowledge that there are people as intelligent, and some even more so, than we are.
I'm 18, so I don't know yet. I want to join the Peace Core after graduation, though. And after that I may look around for another country in which I can be happy.
Was I wrong in what I was saying?
