I DO feel good about myself, I just hate praise or anything of the sort. Because in my mind, I just automatically assume they're lying about it. It's a bit rude of me, but it's not like I call them out on it. I still give a simple "thank you".
Well it's great you feel good about yourself. But it isn't good you assume people lie to you. When people compliment you, they probably do really mean it and you should believe it. Flaunt what you've got.
I feel as if I am picking up on some social anxiety from what you describe though.
That's what my therapist said too, but I just don't see how I have that, to be honest. It's just totally natural to me but, thank you for your comment, yeah, I guess it IS pretty mean of me to just ASSUME they're lying.
I hate attention.
