I feel the same way. I think it's because they resemble beings. They have faces. So do cars and many houses and buildings in a way, cars with their headlights and structures with their windows.
I also feel kind of sad when something is destroyed for no reason. It just seems like such a waste to me. I have difficulty throwing out anything that is still any good at all.
I just don't like seeing things destroyed. It's never been thrilling or cool to me like some people, but just seems a little sad and unnecessary. I even hate watching structures be demolished, there's just something about it that I don't like. I know sometimes it's necessary, but I don't like watching the process. I especially hate seeing perfectly nice houses with nothing wrong with them being demolished for the hideous, cheaply built modern monstrosities with no charm and no class that seem to be popping up everywhere.
I get upset when a stuffed animal or toy is "mistreated."
