I get lost in my imagination for hours at a time?

AT least 3 hours I lie in bed imagination a different life and scenario. I get so into it that I don't realize I spent hours.

Is It Normal?

  • I used to do that a lot, especially when I was in junior high, and high school, because most of reality was such a despondent state of being for me.

If you feel so inclined I want to encourage you to write about this stuff! I used to write a lot when I was younger, but now I have a sort of writer's block, a mental affliction.

So I bid you put pen to paper if you feel so inclined.

  • I did that but then I realized I could write that shit down. So I guess I'm a writer now.

  • Yeah I drift off into daydream states all the time, to degrees that aren’t normal. Was so bad in my teen years peeps thought I had absence seizures, but was just in my own world. Always been that way.

  • It's a psychological thing, sleep time is time to shut down, if you can't shut down then reasonably there's something you want to process but haven't yet

As always, my advice is practice silent meditation

  • Probably normal. But if it starts affecting your real life then you should make sure you’re not maladaptive daydreaming

  • I used to do that a lot as a kid, it was more like daydreaming tho. I’d get lost in my imagination for hours and not even notice it until I snap out of it. Then I realize the time and I’m like “WHAT”.
