I found trump getting permanently banned from twitter funny

I found it funny because he deserved it, it'd be funnier if he gets banned from other social media sites too. He got what he earned coming. Knowing his cronies they'll probably try to defend him.

Errr it’s actually a shit thing as allowing him to use it was far funnier. Let him say as much on whatever platform he wants. America truly became great again on the 6th, and we need more of this for me and the kangaroos to watch on telly.

I don't know. You have to remember the move, funny as it is, isn't to punish him or teach him a lesson so much as to save lives. The man literally told a rally to storm the Capitol. He could make it happen again with a single tweet and he's going to act crazier and crazier as the 20th approaches and he faces prison time.

      • Oh did he? Did he say that? He told them to storm the Capitol!? Omg! I never knew that!...W-wait a minute...Hol' up...I can't find a single quote from Trump stating or even implying to "Storm the Capitol"...Wait, you wouldn't be lying, would you?

Surely you wouldn't blatantly lie about that when we have plenty of examples of Democrat leaders promoting "unrest" in regards to the protests and riots that took place in 2020 that claimed 30+ lives, including the lives of children, that had women being raped in the CHAZ, and so on?

No, you wouldn't be that much of a dumbfuck, right?

You haven't looked into this very hard, huh? I guess kind of like those studies. You don't suppose the word-for-word order "walk down to the Capitol" implied they ought to head over, do you? All this after saying they're going to have to "fight" because they'll never take back the country "with weakness".

Perhaps the guest speakers didn't help either with Rudy Giuliani's order to utilize "trial by combat" or his son's direct threat, "We're coming for you."

Climb out from under that rock. The man isn't the second coming of Jesus Christ and you and all his other supporters are mere pawns to him.

Sorry you got played so hard. Probably shouldn't come as such a shocker that a spoiled rotten business man from the city with a long history of not even paying his construction workers isn't the voice of the South or the working class.

          • Hard enough to know that before even reading past the "huh" part that your whole position will be "While yes he didn't instruct them to storm the Capitol, it's what he (((meant))) as if you get to just decide that. Let's see.

"Like those studies"? You mean the ones I asked you to provide that I'm still waiting for? Got a few notifications, maybe one of them is you providing them, if not then I wouldn't bring up the studies you failed to provide me when I asked.

Ah, there it is. So you didn't actually have a direct quote of him telling them to storm the Capitol, you simply have fighting words. We can play that game if you want, I can offer you a shit-ton of the same rhetoric against Trump. You wanna wager? Lucky for me I have a direct quote that demonstrates Trump's clear intention on what he wanted his rally to do at the Capitol.

Here's what Trump actually said, and I quote, "We're gonna walk down to the Capitol and Cheer on our brave senators and congressmen and women."

So you're just blatantly wrong and I got the references to demonstrate it. You got anything beyond your contradictory interpretation of what Trump meant that directly opposes what he literally says?

            Suck the nuts, cunt.

I like how you left out the part about who they're not exactly going to be cheering for. You know, the one they were aiming to execute.

He riled them up and told them to go to the Capitol. If that's not enough for you you're either lying (it's this), willfully ignorant, or just stupid.

The links were provided. If you couldn't find them before posting this, I'm afraid you're stupid as well.

Edit: Actually I think you're just lying about that as well and preferred to pretend you didn't see that massacre until directly confronted with it.

Also, here's that post you're pretending you didn't see because you were clearly stupidly banking on me not having them:

(If you really want to cut to the chase, this graph is the big picture: https://ibb.co/nQLM3nf )

Most of the data here is derived from the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent to Adult Health, which checks in with the same sample pool over and over as they age, but there are countless other sources used as well in these endless findings. I even included a link to actual physical differences between the typical brain of the average leftist and rightist which probably explain the cognitive differences.

This is just a small sample as we could go on all day. The fact is that it's not exactly groundbreaking stuff. It's been known and accepted in the scientific community for decades that both IQ and education positively correlate with liberalism.

Truthfully, those people were going to do that regardless. Those things are planned by people quite awhile in advance. Remember the huge thing they tried to make out of him saying grabbing pussy lol, you’d think they were talking about the apocalypse.

Storming the capitol was planned in advance, It’s hard to get everyone to show up and coordinate otherwise. He’s irresponsible yes, but it’s another group of crazies, only they’re not Democratic for once.

Walk down to the capitol IS NOT saying kick in the doors and beat a cop to death. Like ItDuz said, walk down to the capitol and do that.

I’m still not seeing any footage of him saying to go do what they did, or calling for it, and neither are you apparently. Because it’s made up shit dawg.

            Comment Hidden ( show )
          • Being "worked up" does not equate to violence. People protesting are typically "worked up" by the thing in which they're protesting, hence why they're protesting.

Trump told them to go to the Capitol to cheer for their side, he in no way commanded them to do what happened there and you have to purposely ignore what he actually told them to do while there in order to claim he instructed them to riot.

I am darkly amused when I think about Trump's reaction when he tried to tweet and saw the message that he'd been suspended.

What's also funny - in a "look at the morons behaving like morons" way - is the reaction of the Trump cultists to his long overdue social media bans. These people claim they consider the US Constitution a holy document, but they don't have a clue about what it actually means.

The fundamental fact about the Bill of Rights is that it protects everyone living within the borders of the USA from the federal government, and the First Amendment guarantees that the federal government can't stop people from saying whatever they want. Trump is free to continue spouting his lies and gibberish as long as he wants, but the First Amendment does not give the Chief Executive of the federal government the power to force privately owned companies to disseminate his pronouncements.

What Trump and his blinkered, ill-informed, idiotic supporters are claiming is no different to them saying that every newspaper in the country should be forced to print everything he says verbatim. That sort of thing does happen in totalitarian states, and so it makes perfect sense for Trump cultists to believe it would be a Good Thing. The Trump cultists shout about freedom, the Constitution and democracy, but beneath the window-dressing, they're authoritarians; they believe that the country needs a strong leader who will force everyone to behave as they believe they should.

There's a very old saying about how the First Amendment doesn't give you the right to shout "Fire!" in a packed movie theatre when there is no fire. The First Amendment also doesn't mean that the owner of the movie theatre is required to give you a megaphone to make sure everyone in the theatre hears your panic-inducing lie.

If Trump wants to say something, he has a Press Office which will make sure his words of delusional idiocy will be spread far and wide. If he calls a press conference, the seats will be packed with reporters, and the cameras will all be focused on him. Every president prior to Trump managed to do the job without tweeting every five minutes. If he's incapable of doing that, then he and the USA have a serious problem.

But then that's been perfectly clear to everyone who hasn't been guzzling the Trump Kool-aid for more than four years now.

I'm not really a fan of banning people on Twitter, but they're a company, they're not the government, so they can do whatever they want to do I guess, and I don't think they're obligated to respect people's freedom of speech the same way as perhaps some other entity, which escapes my mind, might be.

If people don't like this they can choose to not use Twitter, or boycott Twitter, or whatever. If there is a demand another company like Twitter will eventually emerge.

I think people in general are too easily offended these days, but these are the times we're living in, and that's just my opinion of course. I have blocked people on certain platforms for whatever personal reasons, but I'm sure the people I've blocked disagree with my decisions.

      • I'd say you're giving Twitter too much credit even claiming they have "terms of service" because "inciting violence" or whatever BS excuse they used sure didn't seemed to be enforced a lot this summer when BLM/Antifa caused over a billion in damages and injured 2,000 police officers. And those groups were very much endorsed and encouraged by celebrities and even our VP who gave money to bailing rioters out of jail

I think part of it is because Trump is a madman. God knows what he could say on there that would spark more riots. People worship that loon.

Twitter, FB, etc do not want any hand in that. It makes them look bad if they allow Trump to spread hate speech.

But also possibly for legal reasons.
Kind of for the same reason none of us private citizens would want someone using our cell phone to contact their drug dealer or make death threats.

The thing with trump being banned is while yes twitter and facebook are private companies they also actively censor anyone with "controversial opinions" making them a publisher rather than a platform nullifying their section 230 section of the internet.

Big tech like Twitter and Facebook should allow whover they want on but be honest about it.

That's such right-wing BS though. It's not biased. If you don't want a fact-check stuck on a post, don't post something that's been repeatedly debunked. Don't want to be banned, don't post hate speech or incite violence.

It's that fucking simple. Follow those rules and you're good. The fact that the right notices themselves being hit by that so often is really more telling of something about their behavior.

        • What I read is that it's a safe space for Republicans, conservatives, far right leaning people, zealously patriotic and religious people, and prejudiced people to congregate and belittle everyone they disagree with

There are laws in place that need to be followed. If you tell someone to kill themself online and they do and you get found out, that is like first degree murder on a federal level, the FBI would be the ones arresting you. I'm not savvy on all the laws, but with a law like that I would imagine there would be others

I had a thought a while ago, the nineties were like "fuck you, I'm not offended" and now it's like "I'm offended 😢"

Except they're not. If you don't endorse racism or violence, you don't get banned. Simple really. It required Trumping literally sending a mob to the Capitol for this to finally happen to him.

      Comment Hidden ( show )
  • I wouldn't mind it if they had an objective standard they use to ban people, but it's very obvious what they're doing when they conveniently make up a new rule to get rid of people that don't support their political agenda. Kathy Griffin held up a bloody, decapitated head and paid money to people for doxxing teenagers and they never banned her. Not to mention all the people supporting BLM who defended rioting and paid money to bail rioters out of jail (as well as a murderer) and all the people that openly encouraged BLM/Antifa to riot. It has nothing to do with safety or community guidelines. It has everything to do with using the Capitol riot as a lofty excuse to get rid of people that don't support the agenda these companies and their political buddies want. So in the context they did it in I would say it's pretty stupid

Just like here, he will come back as a different identity and you won't even recognize the new person. But if a platform can ban him, they can ban you too. It gets easier each time when you don't fight it. Even if you don't like Trump, a ban because you don't like what they say or represent is not a good thing. What if they decide they don't like hearing about your kids or your dog? Boom banned by the thought police. It will get out of control. Just you wait and see. You won't give a hoot until it happens to you and them it's going to be too late.
