I can sort of understand where you're coming from. There's something appealing about the idea that everyone else thinks it as disturbing, or displeasing. I felt the same way with a lot of the girls which I have went for; a lot of the people I have grown attracted to were people which I were told weren't attractive - something about society's disapproval makes it all the more interesting.
