Yes! IIN. The Bible has raised the bar too high above man's evolutionary state. It's supposed to be high, for if not our aims and goals would be lowly. Instead of relating people's behavior to religion, rather relate it to natural tribal behavior. If you were to make a scale with God on the right and Neanderthal on the left most of us fall about half way or to the left. To sum this up...we are all living organisms with a mind of our own. We should be considered unpredictable. Putting an officer's uniform on a monkey doesn't make him an officer. In other words...to some Christians it's just another label, trend, or social group. Maybe they were born into it and church is just a pastime family tradition.
