My ex paid for sex when we was together. ( and before and since, even behind his new wife's back) Everyone thought he didn't seem the sort to do this, including me. When it came out all his friends and family were shocked and needless to say we split up. He lost his family and kids, and relationship. Personally I think it's disgusting for someone to do this whilst in a relationship, but can't say much if they choose to do it when single, even tho I wouldn't touch someone who's paid for sex. Seems desperate to me. I think I'd feel the same way as you if I found that out about a friend
Lying and cheating behavior is a deal breaker! If I know someone is being dishonest to others it's just a matter of time before they're dishonest with me, either that or I just haven't caught them in their lies yet.
A real friend looks past such things. No one is perfect and if all he did was buy a hooker he could have done much much worse. I really hope this poor guy has better friends. You sound like a snob.

Buying a hooker does not make you a sex addict. Lots of people have bought hookers and its legal in some places. They do this for a number of reasons. A.They cant get a girlfriend but are horny(which is normal) B.They are busy and away doing things where they do not get to see other women that often C.They are promiscuous and sleep with most any women d.Sometimes I think its a power trip since they can pay someone do stuff for them.

OP's friend has purchased the services of a prostitute more than once! In fact he's done it while in relationships with several different women which is cheating. Since he's obviously kept it a secret until now that means he's lied to them by omission. No offense but your reasons why this guy isn't a sex addict sound more like excuses and reasons why he would be a sex addict.

He even did it when he was in relationships with women who are still friends of mine.
