You're probably right. People are probably talking behind your back. But everyone does that to everyone. It doesn't mean they hate you it just means you piss people of sometimes just like your friends piss you off sometimes.
One thing you need to know about highschool is it's nothing like the real world. Everyone, even the 'cool' kids are really insecure. Because everyone is insecure they try and make themselves feel bigger by picking on people beneath them in the pecking order. It's hard, but the best thing to do is to relax and not let them affect you. People really respect others who accept who they are and don't let themselves get upset over nasty jibes. I only learnt this after highschool and I said some things I shouldn't have and let myself get hurt by things I should've laughed off.
