She's been working to become stronger after being called weak by an ex. I have no idea why she's on a 1250 calorie diet. In fact, I'm of the opinion that that is a very poor choice for someone who is perfectly healthy and works out a lot.
Yeah it's better to use objective measures like height, weight and bodyfat percentage as opposed to "I feel fat and unattractive" when evaluating someone's physicality.

She even says "I was never fat but I’ve recently started working out" and "I am now much fitter, stronger and have a lower body fat percentage".

Yeah i see what you mean. I'd need to see a picture of her to know for sure if she should diet. She may be fine the way she is.

I weigh about 95-100lbs which is in the healthy weight range for my height (5’0)
