I won't be judging you or anything, because we are about the same age. What I did was join a volunteering organization. Seriously, it has made my life so much better, and I can assure you that doors will be opened for you once you start saying "yes" and take action, one step at a time. You will find, for example in an organization such as AIESEC, people from all around the world. Hell, I met some guy who looked like a model from Luxembourg and he likes being a couch potato. Or someone really short who had a lot of awesome things to say. You learn a lot when you step out of the comfort zone, it takes just a moment to say: okay, let me be in charge of my life and stop being so negative.
