I understand feeling very protective toward innocent creatures, I do. But to say you feel nothing for the death of a human, because of how you perceive our species a whole, is imprudent and childish. It's like saying you hate all Germans for the Holocaust or all Japanese people for Pearl Harbor.
What if that human was innocent? What if he was one of the good ones? What if he was someone who was working to improve our species? What if he was a pet lover and now all of his pets are going up for adoption?
Humans are not beyond the point of redemption. If our big brains got us in to this mess--in regard to destroying ecosystems-- then surely , with some effort, they can take us out. There are many people who are actively trying to improve our planet. You should be a part of that so that you can see how many like minded individuals there are.
My point drifted off somewhere . . . Anyway . . . No, humans don't deserve apathy or disdain when confronted with it their mortality.
