I feel like like life isn't real. It's all just inside my head.

  • Just because the universe is interesting, does not mean that your own life is. I get where you're coming from, and yeah this life and the people are totally great. But what's a life if you're trapped in a system that requires to educate yourself, obtain a job, and follow whatever social norms dictate. People are apathetic because they realize there isn't much they can do to fight the system. However, just because they're apathetic, does not mean that they are ignorant. Plenty of people can fathom the unfathomable size of the universe, the possibility of other organic life, and the idea that they are an organism comprised by billions of bacterias all working so fluidly that you can function as one single unit. Yet what good does any of this do? I mean really, unless you're going to profit off this idea or find a way to turn into some sort of adventure, what good is this way of though? I'm not trying to limit people from being curious or amazed by science, but if you're not going to pursue it into anything then its simply just a thought. It's no different that saying "oh I could've done that" well you didn't. People have the potential to understand things, but perhaps not the time, money, or energy. Realizations don't really give you much to do. It's good that you can fathom the immensities in this world, but there isn't really anything you can do with that information, unless you plan to study it further and try to make a profit or go on an adventure with it.

TLDR: You can't call people apathetic simply because they aren't as excited about something as you. Also even if your life was fake, you wouldn't know it, so pondering about it wouldn't do you any good, or rather wouldn't get you anywhere.
