Sometimes when we're not even talking but are just in the same room, I'd be like, "Hey, hun, can I go to the toilet?" and she'd be like, "Permission granted," and I'd be like, "Thank you. Be right back."
And yeah, we do kind of hold each other on a tight leash in regards to other things as well.
Try this: Silently get up, quickly tell her 'be right back,' and use the restroom.
If you come back to 20 questions, her getting angry/upset, or any other unreasonable responses, then you'll need to leave that relationship soon; because it's no longer a joke or something innocent, she owns you.
It's not one-sided, though. I just lost my shit because on the phone she said she was going to sleep to wake up early and, instead of going to sleep right away, browsed Reddit for like 20 minutes. She agreed to text/inform me every time so I know the exact time when she goes to sleep.
She's playing along. Because first of all you say, not ask. But if you two seem to go along with it, why not?
