I feel like i'm the man in the relationship

Typically in a heterosexual relationship:
- the boy is able to carry his girl
- the girl is more outgoing and the boy is more serious
- the boy is the bigger spoon

Meanwhile in my relationship:
- I can carry my fiance, he can't carry me
- I'm more serious and he's more outgoing
- I'm the bigger spoon when cuddling.

I'm not bothered by this to be honest since I do have physical, mental, and psychological masculine traits. Just curious if I'm not the only one in this type of relationship.

Is It Normal?

  • Be what you are. It doesn't matter who carries who in a relationship.

  • Not all relationships have to be 'typical', do what you want.

Edit: As for the actual question, there's certainly other couples out there like that.

  • I thought it was the norm for the women to be more serious and the guy to be more outgoing.

Are you fat and ya man skinny?

  • I feel the same in my relationship so as far as I'm concerned it is normal. He can be feminine. I can be masculine. He's calm and placid when I'm having an emotional moment and I'm like that the rest of the time while he complains about his problems. I think its just great, its a nice thought to me having my partner comfortable enough to feel like I'm an anchor to him. He could lift me up, if he wanted to, if I let him but I prefer being the one wrapping my arms around him not the other way around because I like cradling and protecting him. Most of the time Im pretty masculine any way
