I'm not a woman, but usually I suspect a guy is in that position if he comes off as shy, holds his head down, avoids eye contact, either really under or overweight... OR if he tries really, really hard to be social where it's kind of like overdone. Actually I think the biggest one though... perhaps the biggest one of them all... is guys who always put their hands in their pockets. Those stereotypes don't always hold true, but I think those are some give aways. What's good is all of those things can be worked on. I've had to work on quite a few of the things on that list in my life.
That's a good point. I hold my head down and avoid eye contact on a regular basis. For a while I managed to get away from doing that but I slid back into old habits recently. The amount of eye contact I make is usually dependent on how much stress I'm under. I'll bet I would be under a whole lot less stress if I had a girl friend though. It's a catch 22.
Yea hands in pockets head down slouching shuffling walk... all bad signs. And also trying to hard it comes off as desperate. Good observations you made.

Its just behaviors its hard to describe in words if we were sitting somewhere watching ppl I could point it out but it can be subtle.
