Omg. I know EXACTLY what you're going through. For me, I had those goals set for 25. Well guess what? When my 25th birthday came, I was SO insanely depressed because I had a crappy job, wasn't married, though I did have a boyfriend (who later turned into my husband), and we rented a little room. No kids either. So I felt like CRAP. I was so depressed, I actually went on antidepressants.
I am now 28, and I am happily married to my husband, with two cats, and we have our own house. No kids yet, but I'm in no rush. He has a good job, and mine is okay.
So I guess what I'm trying to say is, everything will happen in time. Don't get discouraged. If I could make it, then so can you! :) Just might be a little behind schedule.
I'm actually thinking I'll wait to have kids when I'm 30. I wanna have fun in my 20s and try to save up money too, so we can be good and ready for a baby.
I second it. I am 30 in a month and a half and I am stress out as I have been busting my butt to go back to school and get a degree. I am happy with my fiance although she outweights me by maybe double my weight. Also, I am handicap now and I never in my life thought Multiple Sclerosis would hit me.
All in all, I am happy. I do rant here on this site sometimes but my personal life is full of joy. However, I do know what you mean. I thought I would be much further than I am and wasting my life at a dead end job for 5 years didn't help matters much.
The best advice I can tell you is to do what I do, which is don't feel like your in a race with others and just live life a day at a time. Don't stress over little shit and lastly; the uglier people tend to be the best people to date and try to be a friend to them more than a sex partner.
There is no such thing as a perfect person and even I have faults. The important thing is to realise this and find things in life to make you happy.
At least I got my tax license (State of Oregon demands it) so I am doing stuff. I have to work as a tax preparer anyways for experience so I am working toward my goals.
Just don't give up and you will be happy...eventually.
Shut up you miserable Toad. Life ain't easy, stop wallowing in your own self pity and grow some busters. Jesus Christ! I hate attention seekers, if I was the main dog I'd have you all eliminated so the rest of us could live In peace. Pull yourself together, get a grip and crack on. I bet you're fat?
I feel a sense of impending doom because of my situation
