You need to change that tutor until you find one that really inspires you. I had a girl for my son and she was ok but not great then I found an old retired maths teacher who's a man and he thinks he's incredible!!! He loves going to see him as he's soooo passionate about the subject.

I do have a tutor- my community college offers free tutors, so they're fairly easy to get... but I don't think he's that helpful :/
