I've tried brushing passed guys acting as if it were by accident, but that hasn't worked either.
They just apologize and move away all flustered.
You could try holding a sign that says FREE HUGS. That's almost like groping, but more socially acceptable.

If they're willing to accept your hug in the first place, I'd just say go all out :)
a question, How much hugging is considered too much, do people generally have a limit too how tight I can hug them(need to press hard against them enough to make hugging work)
