I eat banana sandwiches and always warm my cereal

Ever since I was little my parents have warmed my cereal in the microwave- it's all I've ever known, no matter what the cereal is, I heat it up before I eat it.. it's kind of like a necessity to me. however, whenever people see me do it, they always find it completely odd- I didn't think it was that uncommon. the same applies to chopping up banana's and eating them in a sandwich- people are always shocked when they see me do it.
does anyone else do these things, do you find it weird?

Is It Normal?

  • That sounds like it would be delicious. Many people seem to be close-minded towards things of which they are unfamiliar with. I certainly used to think like this especially, if it came towards food. I had an aunt who had a son that would put ranch dressing on his French fries. I thought that was disgusting.

When I used to eat boxed cereal, I couldn't properly eat it if there was a lot of milk in the bowel. The cereal would get too soggy too quickly. As such, a lot of it would be wasted. My relatives thought this was weird. My solution was to put very little milk in the bowel so that I could better control the textures. They thought that this was weird too!

  • My mum puts bananas on toast, and on here cereal. I don't like warm milk so yucky.
If you like it and it's what you've been brought up with then who cares what others think?

    • haha, the views from others on what I eat doesn't bother me at all :) I'm just curious to know whether I'm the only person who does these things

    • haha- I don't mind, but in the big picture; you'll never discover things without exploring outside of the 'norm'
