I dont like the guys personality and i think he is wrong on some issues but i think he really believes he is doing " the right thing". America for Americans and not globalism and making more jobs in the USA and keeping immigrants to certain standards are not bad imo.

With 58% of these so called "immigrants" on public assistance, we do not need anymore coming into the country.
If we need more immigrants, we can look at bringing some quality European, or even Russian immigrants in who are interested in working, not taking.
I would like Trump to stop immigration for now at least, and trim the public assistance roles. America is not a giant welfare office.
Ah, also: Being for tighter immigration control is not racism, because nationality is not race.

I think that most people think of themselves as good, even the ones who do terrible things and would qualify as terrible people by any objective standards.
That being said, I think he is portrayed way too one-sided in the media. He is accused of being racist while having been friends with several high profile civil rights leaders.
Even his worst known comment, the one about women, was mis-quoted again and again. What he described was not sexual assault, because the full quote on the recording was ending with "... if they let you."
He was describing the phenomenon of groupies, one that we all know about and accept, but are than hypocritical about when someone states it plainly.
Yes because handing over guns to teachers will put a stop to mass shooting but not just banning them.

I think like anyone else, Trump has good qualities as well as bad qualities. So for you to not think that the President has bad motives is totally normal
There are no limits on the extent to which humans can delude themselves and your president is no exception. In any event, who cares if he thinks he's doing the right thing, the question is: Is he?
Sure, we all like to think of ourselves as the good guy even if we're doing objectively bad things. I'm sure he's no different.
