I dont know what to do, please help

Ok, so.. I have a crush on this guy for like 7 years now, And I didnt want to show my feelings because he's one of those guys who would ignore a girl if she likes him and plus my friend likes him and I dont want to hurt her feelings. And if I told him that I liked him, Everyone would bring that topic up and everyone would hate me :l, I know because it happened to this girls before, And I want to stop liking him but I dont know what to do. Anything I should do?
