  • Well, there's more than one kind of love. And they all seem to have one thing in common, they've passed the, "I like you" mark. haha! I know, that was so stupid.

However, I believe that one kind of love, is when you found it within yourself to accept someone for who they are. Even if you see their faults, you see all the other thing's that make up for it. You care enough to listen to their thoughts, dreams, fears, and you can somehow relate to their feelings. You understand them on a different that nobody else would, and the question of whether you love them or not, you would never have to ask, because you would already know you do.

  • I feel the same way. That is why I don't bother forming relationships with people.

  • The love you would have for your family is different from your lover. You can hate your family, but I think there is a natural love. Like if your mother needed an operation and even though you're relationship was strained, you would still give her your kidney if you needed to. As for a lover, you know you love them if they make you happy even if you're wary, you can forgive them more easily than you can others, and if you want to hug or kiss or sleep with them.

  • I like to think a lot and provide myself with tests to determine things. For example, if I wanted a test to see if I love someone or something, then I first would determine what properties or what specific things would a person that I love do and how would we interact together. Then, I would determine whether or not the conditions I decided on were satisfied. I don't mean for this to be what my decision to love someone is composed of, but it offers a good model that will help justify my actual decisions.

  • Well hand on heart I know I love my family and my close friends as I'd do absolutely anything for them, I hurt when I see they're hurting, I always try and make them smile, they're just my world.
But I think loving a partner is a completely different kind of love, I've never been in love so I can't comment but ldizzy1234 covered that pretty well.
You shouldn't have to question whether you love someone or not, you should just know. It's more like a rhetorical question if you do actually love them.

  • I mean more than just romantic love. I sometimes find myself thinking very coldly about family situations and pets and stuff. Sometimes wonder if i am capable of love
