I don't see any difference between lying and changing your mind.

  • True but I don't like your alternative of never trusting anyone ...however I probably go to the other extreme and trust people I shouldn't trust.

Certainly you can never trust anyone not to change in a way that takes them away from you, that's why all that "til death us do part" is total crap and since I became an adult I've never trusted anyone who says they'll love me for ever (how can they possibly know that?) and have had problems with people who wanted me to promise that when I don't make promises I don't believe I can fulfil

    • It's good to not make promise you cannot keep. In my experience most people are full of empty promises and deceit. I choose to get along with people anyways, because nothing comes from dwelling on it, but it is important to always question if someone is truthful or not because there is no way to know anything but your own thoughts, and sometimes even those can be confusing.
