  • Personally I don't mind if uniqueness provides value, as long as the uniqueness is authentic. Nothing is more annoying than the modern day middle class American hipster who listens to obscure music and unpopular clothing not because they enjoy it, but to feel superior to society's "clones" or "sheep". Trying too hard is never a good thing. Fitting in just to look cool or be accepted when it goes against your genuine desires or values is just as bad as being unique to be a special snowflake. Then again I highly value authenticness. I don't know about you.
