I don't necessarily think of atheists as smarter people

  • The religious God thing always perplexes me as it would seem to be a reflection of the human need to be righteous.

There is no right or wrong with an act of God and for millions it has always acted as psychological comfort blanket for a stark and bleak world.

I have to ask why do so many humans on this planet have different Gods and religions as surely that would infuriate the one true god.

Also I have to ask if you study religion from pre history why are elements retained. Isis, Gilgamesh and floods the whole way through to the close links between the fundamentals of Muslim and Christian faith. There is an evolution to the God story and how can this happen with an entity such as God?

Why is the Christian faith so vastly different to its 1st century incarnation?

God doesn't change but humans do and did god create man in the likeness of himself?

For me after reading and researching over the years its pretty apparent man created God in the likeness of himself!

I view creationists as people who create a God so they can rationalise man to be much more than reality. If you think about it, the ego is truly astonishing.
