You said it yourself. You hate the way you look so that's you're problem. If you love the way you look, then you would have no problem sharing your image with anyone.
A lot if people in this world are unsatisfied with their looks. You're quite normal. However, I don't think that's how you ought to be. People ought to live comfortably in their own skin. I think the first step to getting there is to learn to love yourself. But I'm no therapist.
All my life I've had some form of negative self-esteem and the people around me didn't really help with the ethnic thing. I would like not to think about it, but there's always someone who feels justified in reminding me.
