I agree with ssj4gotenks as there's a element there that is lost when you run games on a emulator. But that's the thing about it - all hardware can fail. I have a few old consoles that's sitting there because I don't want to be disappointed KNOWING that I was the cause of breaking them (upon sliding in a game CD/cartridge and powering them on - and mashing on the buttons [I have a few games that are hell on certain buttons]) considering it may be the last of the same kind of thing I would ever be able to own in its (supposedly) working condition.
