I'd disagree with that... nothing against anyone Asian, but i find it difficult to decipher between Japanese, Korean, etc. On occasion it might be obvious, but for the most part it's very hard to see the differences in a race that is not your own, or one you are not familiar with.
They've proven in police line-ups that people, when asked to look at a line of individuals of a different race than their own, almost always pick the wrong person, but when asked to look at a line up of their same race, the opposite results.
And about this overall story-- you might have truly experienced rude, money-hungry individuals where you live, but do not condemn an entire race off of individuals you've met in NYC, because frankly, most people in general in NYC are poor, and in a damn rush.
