If it weren't for the fact that we're wired to give a shit for our offspring most wouldn't like babies. That's my opinion on the matter. They're rarely not annoying. Rarely not messy. Rarely actually cute and it's only when they're quiet, happy, or being idiots. I really don't think that people are obligated to enjoy being around babies, however don't harm one. Keep your hate to yourself.
What I hate more than offspring themselves is the people who worship them. The people who go out of their way to say things like if you don't have a baby you're lacking for something. Empathy or love or the emotional capacity to connect. The people who make it seem like those who don't have children are incomplete. You're not special for having made your own species. Creatures have been doing that since the beginning of sexual reproduction. I mean...good job for completing a task we all were wired to do I guess, during a time when it's easiest to do so. Imagine that.
That said they haven't done shit to me, so I haven't done shit to them. I'm pretty neutral around children and tend not to give a shit until they grow enough brain cells to understand the words I say. To those who say shit like "You were once a baby so give a shit DX" You were once an angst ridden teenager and you don't give a shit about them do you ;D.
