I used to be part of a community and all we did was sit in a channel on IRC. It was a lot of fun. There's a site I occasionally chat to people on but, by occasionally, I mean once in a blue moon. There's always the member chat here, although I can't really say what that's like because I haven't been in for almost a year.
I don't know how to chat online (do chat rooms still exist?!)
